Description
WARSAW | FINE DINING | MODERN-CLASSIC GALICIAN | CENTRAL EUROPEAN CUISINE
BACZEWSKICH
TOP VIEW…
Baczewskich is located within a Neo-Renaissance palace in the center of Warsaw; built in 1895, it was one of the few buildings that survived the Second World War. The restaurant evokes the nostalgia of the 1920s and 30s, and is the younger sibling of Baczewskich in Lviv, Ukraine. Chef Dmytro ‘Dima’ Babak brings his immense experience in bridging the modern with the traditions of Galician cuisine. For example, scallop carpaccio with black truffle reflects the contemporary, while the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and caramelized vegetables conveys the more traditional! In addition, Chef Babak always serves unique dishes from outside the menu—ostrich tartare and shark steak are examples. The ethos here is of feasting and fun in the environment of a ‘special occasion,’ with piano and music, and well-attired service! A sophisticated wine list, as well as cocktails, classic liquors, and original tinctures all made in-house, are joyously served. Delightful indeed!
