Restaurant Szara, located in the Main Square, is considered a landmark venue by those who seek class and consistency. Chef Pawel Puchalski’s menu, best described as international and European with significant Scandinavian features, is well-loved by a clientele that ranges here from all over the globe. The Swedish style marinated herrings are an ideal prologue to dishes such as the Plankstek; this is beef sirloin served on an oak plank with pommes duchesse and yellow string beans wrapped in bacon. Desserts such as the strawberry cheesecake on a crispy chocolate crust delightfully complete the gastronomic equation. A welcoming, attentive, staff advises guests on the choice of wines, as well as ensuring that their every need is happily met. And breakfast is served daily at the adjacent Szara Bar from 9 am until 12 noon. A true class act!
